ALEXANDRIA, VA — City of Alexandria crews will conduct repaving of a busy portion of King Street in the West End. The overnight work will start on Monday, July 27 and is expected to be completed on Friday, July 31.

Repaving will happen between South 28th Street and South 25th Street (Beauregard Street intersection). The work will occur overnight due to high traffic volumes on this stretch, which connects to Bailey's Crossroads and south Arlington County. Work is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic and parking may be redirected during the work hours. Roads will be fully reopened at the end of each work night.

"The City recognizes that night paving may be an inconvenience to residents living along this section of King Street," reads a city news release. "Thank you for your patience and support as we work to improve the City’s infrastructure."
