Alexandria Police Make Arrest Following Stabbing Incident

Police charge suspect with malicious wounding.

Alexandria police announced an arrest in a malicious wounding case that occurred Tuesday evening in the 5400 block of N. Morgan Street.

At approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to reports of a fight on N. Morgan Street, which sits next to Holmes Run just north of I-395.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered a victim who was suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to the initial police investigation, the victim has arrived in the area with a group of friends. An altercation occurred with another group, and during the fight the victim was stabbed. There were no other reported injuries in the incident, according to police. 

Police arrested 18-year-old city resident Farouq Abdullahi and charged him with malicious wounding in relation to the altercation.
