Alexandria Schools Change Schedule For March 20

Due to the impending winter storm, Alexandria City Public Schools has cancelled afternoon and evening activities on school campuses. There is no early dismissal for the regular school day.

Cancelled activities include adult education classes. Recreation activities at ACPS facilities will follow the normal schedule. Campagna Kids and Campagna Center’s early childhood programs will close at 5 p.m.

Alexandria is under a winter storm warning from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang forecast calls for 2 to 5 inches of snow in Alexandria. The rain will continue turning to sleet and to snow along the Interstate 95 corridor through Tuesday afternoon.
