Black Friday: King Street Trolley to Operate Beginning at 6 a.m.

The King Street Trolley will begin running at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29 to accommodate Black Friday shoppers in Old Town.

The free trolley will run every 15 minutes until 10:15 p.m. from King Street Metro to the Potomac River.

Many Old Town merchants will open early Friday for the shopping rush and early deals. More than 3,000 passengers rode the King Street Trolley on Black Friday in 2012. 

The trolley will also be operating on a regular, 11:30 a.m.-to-10:15 p.m. schedule on Thanksgiving Day.

All on-street parking and city-owned garage parking across Alexandria will be free on Black Friday as well.
