Car Tire Slashing Spree Hits Alexandria, Man Charged

According to police, a suspect targeted numerous cars in one area.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — An area of Alexandria was targeted by a person slashing car tires on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Alexandria Police say 64 vehicles were damaged around the 1600 block of Kenwood Avenue. Residents discovered the damages to their car tires on Tuesday morning, according to Fox 5.

The news station says one resident's camera appeared to record tire slashings in progress. Police used video to find a suspect, who was taken into custody that day.

Daniel Stryker, 32, of Alexandria, is charged with felony destruction of property and is being held without bond.
