Critical Missing Person In Alexandria Found: Police

Police have located a missing person Thursday after he went missing Wednesday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police have located a critically missing person Thursday.

Peter Edwards, 34, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Shillings Street in the West End. He is considered critically missing due to mental health concerns.

A helicopter search in the early morning hours of Thursday was unsuccessful. A helicopter was called in again to help with the search on Thursday morning.

Edwards is described as 5 foot 2 tall and 120 pounds. His hair and beard are longer than in the picture provided to police. He walks with a pronounced limp and was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and jeans.
