Domino's 'Pizza Theater' Concept Coming to Alexandria
Plans are in the works for a current Domino's to be turned into a new concept that features seating for 24.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A new "Pizza Theater" concept being tried out by Domino's Pizza is in the works for Alexandria. The owners of the current Domino's at 5418 Duke St., Team Washington, Inc., are proposing to tweak the restaurant and morph it into the new concept, adding seating for 24. Their plans are laid out in documents submitted to the City.
What is a pizza theater, you ask? Well, according to Domino's, it's a store with a lobby and actual indoor seating, unlike at other Domino's locations, which are usually very minimal with zero seating. The Domino's theater will also have a viewing area where you can watch your pizza being made via the Domino's Pizza Tracker. Plus, you'll be able to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. There will also be chalkboards in the restaurant for customers to "express their creativity" or leave feedback.
