Driver Dead After Early Morning Crash In Alexandria
Police continue to investigate a fatal single-vehicle crash on North Van Dorn Street.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — An Alexandria resident died in an early Monday crash, according to Alexandria Police.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 1:44 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Van Dorn Street. Initial investigations found the driver was heading north on North Van Dorn Street when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, and the driver died of his injuries on the scene. The driver was identified as DWarren Brown, 43, of Alexandria.

The police department's Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the crash. Witnesses with information are asked to contact Investigator Jordan Young at 703-746-1816.
