Fruits, Veggies, Flowers, Oh My! Farmers Market Returns to West End

Springs brings flowers, budding trees, pollen and—for fresh food enthusiasts—the return of the West End Farmers Market.

The market begins this year on May 5. It takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays from May through November at 4800 Ben Brenman Park, next to Cameron Station.

Free parking is available in the lot at the east end of Deer Run Court, all along the south end of Deer Run Court and both sides of Somerville Street.

Past produce vendors have included F.J. Medina & Sons, Billie's Flowers, Shamba Farms, J&W Valley View Farm, Magali's Plants, Norma's Produce, Papa's Orchard and Alma's Berries. Vendors selling treats have included Tom's Amish Cheese Store and More, Belmar's Coffee, Refresh, Great Harvest Bread Co., Fluffed Up Desserts, No. 1 Sons, Vera's Bakery, Fresh Joseph's and The Dressed Up Nut.

Past craft vendors have included Lucid Arts, Paper Scissors Fabric Clay, TLC Hair Bows, One of a Kind Art, Marietha's Handcrafted Jewelry, MU Pottery, Mindy's Makes, House of Glass and Stone, Stone Blue Creations and Bella Tierra.

Previous gift vendors include Ted's Woodworking, Kayvee International, Rod's Sharpening, Old Town Suds, Affinity Woodworks, Barbie's Doggie Bakery, Arts of Asia, Kalinka Malinka and Claire Carroll Photography.
