Karate Studio Opens Fourth Alexandria Location

Potomac Kempo has opened its fourth location in Alexandria this month, moving into the spot recently vacated by Whistle Stop Hobbies.

Potomac Kempo specializes in teaching the art of Shaolin Kempo karate to working professionals and their families.

The new location is at 1535A North Quaker Lane in Fairlington Centre Plaza.

The business celebrated its 10th anniversary this summer, when its original Kingstowne location opened in July 2003. 

In addition to those two studios, it has locations in Old Town by the Trader Joe’s off of St. Asaph Street and in Foxchase Shopping Center on Duke Street.

Whistle Stop Hobbies moved around the corner of the Fairlington mall recently after leaving Old Town earlier this year.
