PWCS Students Make Face Shields For Hospitals
As the coronavirus outbreak spreads, the country has heard dozens, if not hundreds of reports of hospitals running low on supplies, sometimes leaving doctors and nurses without masks, gowns or shields to protect them from the disease. As communities rally to help get those health care providers the supplies they need, Prince William County Public Schools is celebrating two current students and one of their former students who are all trying to make a difference.
Total Coronavirus Cases In DC Tops 1,200
The D.C. Department of Health confirmed 114 new positive cases for the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, as of Monday night. This brings the total number of positive cases in the district to 1,211.

Fairfax County Coronavirus Update: 532 Cases, Donations Sought
Cases of the coronavirus disease, or COVID-19, have increased to 532 in the Fairfax Health District as of Tuesday. The Fairfax County Health Department said the number of deaths increased to nine. The numbers represent the health district as a whole, which includes Fairfax County, Fairfax City and Falls Church City.
MLB Eyes Possible Return For Nationals, Other Teams: Report
Major League Baseball and its players are reportedly working on a plan that would see a return to the field as early as May, an idea that would allow America's Pastime to become the first professional sport to return amid the coronavirus crisis. ESPN reported the plan "has the support of high-ranking federal public health officials" and would likely be the most unique season in baseball history.

DC's Women's Homeless Shelter Feels Impact Of Coronavirus
Like everyone else in the District, Calvary's residents, volunteers and staff have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
VA Distilleries Can Now Ship Liquor To Customers
The state's Alcohol Control Board says it recognizes that the coronavirus has made it tough for distilleries, closing tasting rooms and cutting off a large portion of their sales, so regulations have been relaxed so businesses can continue to survive even as the country shelters in place.
Medical Supply Donations Pour In From Loudoun County
Two weeks ago, Loudoun County asked residents to donate personal protective equipment to help local health care providers in need of masks, gloves and other safety gear. Since then, the county says they've received thousands of gloves respirators and masks, but is stressing that the need for more donations still continues.
