That's a Lie! - It is a phrase I hear often. Often the person who says it appears to be angry or scornful. Usually the other person becomes angry or defensive. The phase interferes with constructive communication.
Are You Addicted to Carbs? - Americans over-consume grains, specifically refined carbohydrates. This can lead to disruption of sugar levels, which leads to insulin resistance, fatigue, weight gain, and even diabetes. I challenge you to remove refined carbohydrates from two of your three meals.
Risk Factors and Warning Signs for Suicide - In contrast to risk factors, warning signs are indicators of more acute suicide risk. A person who is thinking about suicide may say so directly: “I’m going to kill myself.” More commonly, they may say something more indirect: “I just want the pain to end,” or “I can’t see any way out.”
Ellen's Random List of Places I Like in Northern Virginia - This last weekend I was helping a family find a home. They are completely new to the area and after we saw some homes they asked "Where can we get a good breakfast around here?" I gave my recommendation and they went on their merry way. A huge portion of my job as a Realtor is to answer questions like this. Hey! It's important to know where you can get a good blueberry pancake, right?
