Navy Federal Opens Branch near Fort Belvoir
Branch serves surrounding Alexandria neighborhood
Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union, held a grand opening for its 266th location in Alexandria, Va. last Saturday.
The latest branch is located in the Hilltop Village Shopping Center and is part of a growing network of branches in the region serving more than 129,000 credit union members. The shopping center where the branch is located is just north of Fort Belvoir, one of the largest employers in Fairfax County, Va.
“This location will see a high volume of Active Duty servicemembers,” said Deborah Keator, branch manager. “Serving the military in and around Fort Belvoir, as well as our members in the area is what our team has been really looking forward to.”

Following remarks at the grand opening, a donation check was presented to the Army Emergency Relief Fund (AER). AER provides no-interest loans and grants to Soldiers and their families through their chain of command or their local installations’ AER section.
At over 4,400 square feet, the new branch offers a full range of products and services, including a full-service walk-up ATM and coin machine. The location also has tablets available to allow members to access the Navy Federal app and explore other financial tools available to them. Lobby hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The address is 7873 Heneska Loop, Alexandria, Va., 22315. Hilltop Village Shopping Center is located at the intersection of Telegraph Rd. and Buelah St.

The branch is part of an expansion effort to open 21 new Navy Federal branches in 2015. The Hilltop branch is one of seven branches opening in the Washington, D.C. area this year.
