Residents are hosting a third cleanup site from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cameron Run. This year marks the eighth annual cleanup at the Cameron Run site, located between Eisenhower Ave and Interstate 95/I-495. The site has moderately rough terrain and access requires scaling a 4-foot fence, then navigating down a fairly steep slope. Volunteers will have coffee and bagels for volunteers at 8:30 a.m.
To reach the Cameron Run site, take exit 174 (Eisenhower Avenue Connector) off of I-95/I-495. Turn right off the connector onto Eisenhower Avenue. Drive approximately 1 mile to 3601 Eisenhower Ave. (a six--story professional building with "BAKER" sign in blue at top). The group will meet in front of building, but parking garage is located behind the building. Restrooms are available.
Another cleanup will take place at Holmes Run at the South Gordon Street entrance. This is a creek cleanup in Tarleton Park (behind the Wakefield-Tarleton neighborhood), a part of the Holmes Run Park trail.Â
