Say Goodbye to Summer at First Thursday in Del Ray

Say goodbye to summer Thursday night, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Del Ray, with the final First Thursday of the season. The fun takes place at Mount Vernon and E. Oxford avenues and up and down Mount Vernon Avenue.

The theme of the evening, according to the Del Ray Business Association Web site: Talent and fashion. Look for merchants Amalgamated, Gossip on 23rd, Kiskadee,lululemon athletica for Mind the Mat, The Purple Goose and Salon Bisoux to lend a helping hand to models for Thursday evening’s runway show. Your Dog’s Best Friend will also be on hand to lend a paw to some furry sidekicks.

The Kate Moran Band will kick-off the evening, headlining the talent portion of the evening following the runway show. Next up is Martha Krabill, singer in The Reflex ultimate 80’s band. Dancer Rayvonne Lewis will also take the stage to delight the audience with smooth dance moves. Organizers also say to stay tuned for “surprise walk-ons from some of our local politicians.”

Bring donations of new or gently-used coats that will be put to good use by one of our favorite local charities, ALIVE.
