Serious Crash Sends 1 To Hospital In Alexandria
The crash on Duke Street involved a car and truck.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—A serious crash in Alexandria left one person injured.
The IAFF Local 2141 firefighters' union tweeted about the crash after 2 p.m. The crash happened on Duke Street near Telegraph Road and Taylor Run Parkway. Photos posted by the union showed the aftermath of a crash between a truck and car. The front of the car came to rest partly under the rear of the truck with significant damage.
One person was extricated and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the union told Patch.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known. The crash temporarily closed westbound Duke Street. Only the right lane remains blocked as of 3 p.m.
