Small Business Saturday: Where To Shop Near West End Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you're shopping for holiday gifts, consider shopping at some of Alexandria's fine local businesses. Consumers are encouraged to shop local on both Black Friday (Nov. 24) and Small Business Saturday (Nov. 25).

American Express launched Small Business Saturday to encourage shoppers to support small businesses hurting from the recession. Since then, Small Business Saturday has turned into an annual event featuring businesses across the country.

In 2016, shoppers spent an estimated $15.4 billion at small, independent business on Small Business Saturday, according to American Express.
