T.C. Williams Student Newspaper Prepares for Coming Year

Theogony is T.C. Williams High School's student-run media organization.

T.C. Williams High School’s student-run media organization and newspaper—Theogony—has announced next year’s leadership team.

Rising seniors Emily Church, Kevin Cruz, James Patrick McLaughlin, Meredith Poe, Rosa Procaccino and Sydney Schaedel will be managing directors for the 2013-2014 school year. They will lead the following areas: features (Schaedel), news and style (Church), online and layout (Procaccino), opinion (Poe), sports (McLaughlin) and photography and social media (Cruz).

Rising senior Sam Hanoura will lead Theogony’s joint television operations with T.C. Williams’ television production classes, taught by Vilma Zefran. Hanoura will produce and co-host Theogony On Air, a monthly television show. Theogony On Air is broadcast on Alexandria City Public Schools channel 71 and is co-hosted by Superintendent Morton Sherman.

“We’re confident that we’ll maintain the high standards set by the last group of managing directors,” Procaccino said in a news release.

Poe added, in a statement, “I’m really excited to lead the incoming staff and continue publishing great papers and unique online content. We want to maintain a strong online presence through Twitter, Facebook and the online edition.”
