VIDEO: West End Farmers Market Returns for 2013
Vendors sold fruits and vegetables, clothing, jewelry, preserves, flowers and other wares.
The West End Farmers Market opened its 2013 season Sunday in Alexandria to the delight of foodies, organic food-inclined customers and art lovers.
The market will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays from May through November at 4800 Ben Brenman Park, next to Cameron Station. On Sunday, under a bright sun and blue skies, shoppers bought goods including vegetables, herbs, fruits, clothing, jewelry, accessories, baked goods, cheeses, fresh-squeezed orange juice, flowers and homemade preserves.
