Each tutor is trained, matched with a student, and encouraged to meet weekly for an hour and a half to help the student improve their reading and writing skills. Tutors have the flexibility of setting their own schedules with their student to meet at any mutually convenient public location in Alexandria. SOHO (Space Of Her Own) — Volunteer Mentor Orientation Sessions

SOHO is an art-based mentoring program that allows local low-income pre-teen girls to attend artistic and life skills workshops with mentors, culminating with renovation of the girl’s bedroom.
