The Prince William County housing market is the healthiest it has been in years, according to the latest data from Real Estate Business Intelligence.
Compared to last year, sales prices are up and so is available inventory (the number of properties on the market).
Today, the most expensive home in the Prince William County region is at 10693 Avondale Drive, southeast of the City of Manassas.  The median sales price of a detached, single-family home in Prince William County was $403,750 in May of this year, which is a 4.9 percent increase from May of last year. Average days on the market for detached, single-family homes is 50 days. Condos and townhouses are selling much faster – the average days-on-market is just 29 days for attached properties.
In addition, the data show there were more than 1,600 active real estate listings throughout the month of May – an increase from just 977 in May 2013. In addition, active listings increased from January through May much faster than they did from January through May last year, reflecting increased confidence.
