'Quartz District' Mixed-Use Development Proposed in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Developers have submitted a rezoning application to Prince William County for a new mixed-used development dubbed the Quartz District. The 145-acre undeveloped site is at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Minnieville Road near Potomac Mills, according to Buchanan Partners.
It would be a walkable neighborhood center that would "distinguish it from nearby suburban shopping centers." The Quartz District would include a man-made waterfront with a pedestrian bridge. It would have 125,000 square feet of retail space, between 175,000-200,000 square feet of office space and 1,000 residential units.
The application was submitted last October, and the Dale City Small Area Plan process is beginning. Buchanan Partners says it's awaiting Prince William County staff comments on the application and feedback from the Small Area Plan process before responding with a second submission.
