3 Hunters Rescued After Boat Capsizes Near Skagit River
A good Samaritan and a Coast Guard helicopter crew successfully pulled three duck hunters to safety after their boat capsized Sunday.

MILLTOWN, WA ā Three duck hunters were successfully rescued after their boat capsized near the Skagit River Sunday afternoon. According to the Coast Guard, a good samaritan was able to pull one man from the mudflats and bring him to a marina to call 911. The Coast Guard responded to help deputies rescue the other two hunters, about 200 yards from the river's entrance.
A Coast Guard helicopter crew, which was training near the San Juan Islands, answered the call and found to men trying to reach the shore. A rescue swimmer helped hoist the men to safety, and they were flown to a nearby baseball field where medics were waiting. The Coast Guard said all three fishermen were expected to be okay.
