Black Friday 2019: Free Access To Washington State Parks

All state parks will be free for visitors the day after Thanksgiving.

OLYMPIA, WA — All state parks will be free to visitors on the day after Thanksgiving. According to park officials, all areas that normally require a Discover Pass or a $10 day-use fee can be visited at no cost on Black Friday. The offer does not include overnight stays or rented facilities. Fees still apply on National Park Service, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Department of Natural Resources land.

According to State Parks, Black Friday will be the last free day of the year. The state designates 12 free days annually, as required by the legislation that created the Discover Pass. After November 29, the next free day is January 1.
