Kent Couple Killed In Mobile Home Fire
Firefighters said a husband rushed into the burning home to rescue his wife, but neither of them made it out.

KENT, WA ā A Kent couple is dead after a fire tore through their mobile home Monday morning. Puget Sound Fire was called to a trailer park on the 800 block of West Valley Highway shortly before 9 a.m. on reports of heavy fire and smoke coming from a unit.
The Seattle Times reports the couple's roommate called 911 after noticing smoke coming from the rear of the home. The husband arrived at the house and went inside to rescue his wife, but the fire grew in intensity after the door was opened.
Fire investigators are still working to determine what sparked the blaze. According to the Times, the flames were extinguished within 20 minutes, and the fire did not spread to neighboring units.
