Kent Dick's Drive-In Grand Opening This Week

The newest and Dick's Drive-in will open in Kent's West Hill neighborhood this week, slightly later than the owners had hoped.

KENT, WA - The newest - and southern-most - Dick's Drive-in restaurant will open in Kent this week. The long-anticipated location along Pacific Highway South is the first restaurant opened by the company since the Edmonds location in 2011.

The grand-opening ceremony will be held Wednesday and will feature local marching bands and dignitaries like Kent Mayor Dana Ralph, King County Council members, and the Seattle Thunderbirds mascot, Cool Bird.

The Kent restaurant broke ground in April after a contest where Dick's fans got to pick a region for the newest location. The "south" region won, and Kent was ultimately picked for the location. Other cities like Renton and Auburn were vying for the new Dick's.

Along with the fanfare at this week's grand opening, there will of course be Dick's signature burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
