PARKLAND, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is searching for a 65-year-old woman, last seen at her Parkland home on Dec. 19. Laurel Claytor is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with graying brown hair and hazel eyes. Her family says she suffers from severe mental health conditions and may not respond to her name.

Investigators said Claytor was reported missing three times previously, later turning up in nearby woods, a Spanaway Walmart, and in Gig Harbor. She is known to ride buses in the area and visit Spanaway Lake Park. Deputies said Claytor does not have a vehicle or a cell phone, and her family did not know what kind of clothing she was last wearing.

Search and Rescue teams were deployed, and a missing persons bulletin was distributed to county agencies. A search of hospitals and jails in the area have not been fruitful. Anyone with information on Claytor's whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff's department at 253-798-7530.
