From pancake breakfasts to tree lightings and wine tastings, celebrations are happening around Puget Sound this weekend. Here are six ideas.
Christmas is drawing closer, and the number of weekends left for holiday revelry is down to just three. Luckily, this weekend is packed with fun, festive activities around Western Washington.
REDMOND LIGHTS
Redmond City Hall (15670 NE 85th St.)
Dec. 7 & 8
This two-day event starts Saturday with live entertainment, games, and a tree lighting at 5 p.m. The festivities continue at Redmond Town Center where musical and dance performances. On Sunday, an evening walk through the art installations is planned at 5 p.m.

LIGHTED SANTA PARADE
Downtown Puyallup (107 North Meridian)
Saturday, Dec. 7
5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Downtown Puyallup will transform into a winter wonderland Saturday night for the annual light-up parade down Meridian. See more than 100 floats, tractors, fire trucks, marching bands, and Saint Nick himself.

CENTRAL PIERCE FIRE & RESCUE PANCAKE BREAKFAST
Station 66, South Hill (9813 128th St. E)
8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Join firefighters at the South Hill fire station to raise money for the Senior Care Facilities Benefit and chow down on some breakfast. Santa's attendance is confirmed, and he will be available for photos.

LAKEWOOD TREE LIGHTING

1 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Join Lakewood neighbors for the city's 23rd annual tree lighting at City Hall. The fun begins with Santa visits at 1 p.m., followed by a Lego contest, the Jingle Bell Dash, and a parade, ahead of the grand finale tree lighting at 5 p.m.

DECK THE DOCK

2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
The free annual family celebration returns to the Seattle waterfront Sunday afternoon. Come check out live music, a kids dance party, and sip something hot.
ST NICK'S HOLIDAY WINE WEEKEND

Dec. 7 & 8
12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
25 Woodinville breweries and wineries will be pouring out some holiday cheer through the weekend. The fun began Friday night and continues through Saturday and Sunday.
