Bellevue Makes List Of Best Places For First-Time Homebuyers

Nerdwallet has released a new study showing what makes Bellevue a good place for a first-time homebuyers.

BELLEVUE, WA - The personal finance website Nerdwallet has ranked Bellevue the 91st best place out of nearly 500 U.S. cities for first-time home buyers, according to a study released today. Bellevue was one of only two Washington cities to make the top 100.

NerdWallet looked at the 448 largest U.S. cities and then ranked them according to how affordable, livable, an economically stable they are. They used data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the website NeighborhoodScout, and Down Payment Resource, which shows the amount of homeowner assistance in a given area.

Bellevue scored high marks for its economic stability, although it's less affordable than other cities on the list.
