Bellevue Seeks Community Feedback On Affordable Housing Plans
Residents will have a chance to chat with officials Wednesday evening as the city works drafts a new land-use code.
BELLEVUE, WA — The Bellevue City Council will host a community conversation this week, looking to hear directly from residents as officials craft the city's affordable housing strategy. According to city officials, Bellevue's goal is to construct 2,500 affordable housing units over the next decade.
Last December, the council approved its comprehensive housing plan, simplifying the process to build affordable homes on publicly owned land and parcels owned by faith organizations or non-profits. Now, the city is drafting its updated land-use code.
Residents are invited to participate in a virtual conversation with city staff Wednesday evening.
