MONROE, WA - The 2018 Evergreen State Fair kicks off Thursday morning in Monroe. The fair began 115 years ago as a small affair in Monroe, and has now grown to become one of the largest in the state.

Here are all the details about the 2018 fair, according to Snohomish County:

Hours
Fair: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 23 t0 Sept. 2; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 3
Carnival: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 23 to Sept. 2; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 3

Cost
Adults: $14
Youth (6-15), seniors (62-89), and military: $10
Under 5 and 90+: FREE

Special Admission Days
Aug. 23 - FREE admission until 3 p.m. with a non-perishable food donation of three items per person.
Aug. 24 - Blue Friday: $2 off admission for anyone wearing Seahawk gear until 2 p.m.
Aug. 27 - Senior Day: All Senior Citizen’s age 62 and better receive FREE admission
Aug. 28 - 2 for 1 Tuesday: Buy one gate admission, receive a second admission of equal value for FREE.
Aug. 29 - Family Day: $6 gate admission for everyone ages 6-89 until 6p.m.
Aug. 30 - Kid’s Day: Kids 15 and under receive FREE admission all day
Aug. 31- Heroes Day: FREE admission for all military, first responders and their dependents with ID
Sept.4 - Labor Day: $2 off gate admission for everyone! (Fair closes at 9 p.m.)
