Artsy? Enter the 911 Logo Design Contest

SNOCOM, the 911 communications center in Southwest Snohomish County, is holding a contest for a new logo design. The deadline for turning in a logo is Oct. 15.

Anyone interested in submitting a logo should keep in mind SNOCOM's mission statement and values, as those elements will be considered during judging. According to SNOCOM, here they are:

Vision Statement:  Leading the way with integrity and professionalism in public safety communications through solution-oriented teamwork.

Core Values:  Professionalism, teamwork, integrity, dedication, empathy, and innovation.

Key words: 911, Communications, Community, Police, Fire, and EMS.

The designer of the winning logo will have the chance to sit along with a 911 dispatcher and receive a 911 grab bag.
