Burn Ban Now in Effect in Parts of County
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office has implemented the ban for unincorporated parts of the county.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office has issued a burn ban for unincorporated areas of Snohomish County, which does not include the City of Edmonds. The decision was made because recent hot and dry weather conditions have lead to high fire danger.Â
The ban restricts all commercial and agricultural outdoor burning. Fire permits issued by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency are suspended until the ban is lifted.
The restriction does not include recreational fires, which are described as less than 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high and for cooking and pleasure only. These fires must be contained within a fire pit, and a nearby water source must be available in case the fire gets out of control.
