Cascade Symphony Scholarships Available To SnoCo Grads

Seniors from the Edmonds, Mukilteo, Northshore, and Shoreline school districts have only 3 weeks to submit their scholarship applications.

EDMONDS, WA - Qualified high school seniors from the Edmonds, Mukilteo, Northshore, and Shoreline school districts have only three weeks remaining to submit their applications for scholarships from the Cascade Symphony Orchestra.

The Cascade Symphony Orchestra scholarships range in value from $2,000 to $3,000 and will be awarded to applicants who plan to continue their musical studies in college, though they are not required to major in music. Along with the written application, students must also provide a 5-minute audition CD of excerpts from the applicant's best performances with an orchestral instrument.

"We have been awarding scholarships to high school seniors for many years, because supporting education is a high priority for the orchestra," said Holly Sullivan, the scholarship chair for Cascade Symphony Orchestra.
