Fatal Car Vs. Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation In Lynnwood
Police are investigating what led up to a fatal collision involving a Honda that struck a woman on the sidewalk in Lynnwood Thursday night.
LYNNWOOD, WA — Police in Lynnwood on Friday continue to investigate a fatal pedestrian versus car collision that occurred Thursday night. In addition to the fatality, two people — including the involved driver — were injured in the crash.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are still being sorted, according to a tweet shared on the Lynnwood Police Department's Twitter page late Thursday; but the investigation so-far has revealed a woman in her 20s was driving a Honda CRV in the 4600-block of 188th Street Southwest when she struck a woman in her 50s on the sidewalk around 6:15 p.m. May 16.
Carrying the injured pedestrian on top of her Honda, the driver continued traveling west until she crashed into the garage of a home in the 4800-block of 188th Street Southwest.

A man in his 60s who was in the garage at the time of the crash sustained unspecified injuries, police said. The pedestrian who was hit was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man in his 60s, as well as the driver who was also injured in the ordeal, were both taken to hospital, police said.
