Argument Between Friends Ends in Fractured Jaw: Edmonds Police Blotter

Tuesday, Feb. 5
Forgery: A Westgate Elementary student paid for lunch with a counterfeit $50 bill.
Malicious mischief: A toilet seat was burned in the public restroom at the fishing pier.

Assault: A man was cited for Assault 3 after assaulting medical staff and breaking a window at the 21600 block of 76th Ave W.
Malicious Mischief: Police took a report of graffiti on the north side of the pool building at Yost Park. It was the third incidence at the park in a week.
Wire fraud: Someone posed as an Edmonds person and fraudulently authorized a $35,000 wire transfer to an account in Virginia.
Theft: The manager of a local store lost her credit card while at work, and discovered that an employee had taken it and used it at other local stores.

Thursday, Feb 7
Shoplifting: A woman was cited for shoplifting from Party World at 1:40 p.m. Later, around 2:15 p.m., a man was cited for shoplifting at Top Foods.
Theft: Someone stole two sets of moose antlers from under a deck at a home on the 8100 block of Frederick Pl.

Saturday, Feb 9:
Theft at Safeway: Police received a report that someone ran out of Safeway with a basket of unpaid-for merchandise, around 11 p.m.
Caught Key-handed: A man reported his vehicle turned up missing from a parking stall overnight. Later, police arrested a man who had the victim’s keys in his pocket; he was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
DUI, Failure to Obey: a traffic stop at 1:33 a.m. led to a DUI and failure to obey an officer arrest.

Monday, Feb. 11
Theft suspect nabbed: An alert Ferry employee recognized a theft suspect from a bulletin and alerted. Police. The suspect was apprehended, and narcotics were found on the person.
Stolen Garden equipment: A resident of the 7000 block of 176th Pl SW reported that some garden equipment was stolen from their unlocked sheds.
Assault 2: Police investigated an argument between two adult male friends that got ugly when one punched the other in the face, fracturing his jaw.
Hospital parking lot theft: Someone stole the catalytic converter off of a car while it was parked in the hospital parking lot.

DUI: A man was arrested for DUI on the 21600 block of Hwy 99.
DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI on the 800 block of 5th Ave. S.
