High Wind Watch For Edmonds: Week Ahead Forecast

EDMONDS, WA - Stormy conditions will persist early this week, with heavier rains moving in Monday night and into Tuesday. But after that storm, there is a chance for some sun later on in the week. There's a high wind watch in effect Monday through Tuesday for the Edmonds area due to the threat of high winds.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for the upcoming week:

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. South southwest wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night: Showers, mainly after 4am. Low around 44. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 21 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Showers. High near 49. Windy, with a south wind 28 to 33 mph decreasing to 20 to 25 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. South southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 49.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Thursday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Friday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.

Friday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
