'Kids Plant For Mom's Day' In Edmonds May 11
Edmonds in Bloom will help local kids put together flower gift buckets for their moms at this special, always-popular community event.
EDMONDS, WA - Mother's Day is fast approaching and local nonprofit Edmonds in Bloom wants to help kids across town put together special flower buckets for their moms on her special day.
Held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11, the day before Mother's Day, and in conjunction with the Edmonds Farmers Market, Kids Plant for Mom's Day is a long-standing city tradition, according to Edmonds in Bloom spokeswoman Maxine Mitchell.
Edmonds in Bloom is "dedicated to beautifying the local community and providing horticultural education," Mitchell said, noting volunteers from the nonprofit will be on-hand helping kids pick a colorful beach pail before decorating it with stickers and filling it with a variety of flowering plants.
