Last Week at the Fire Department
Here's a round up of the action at Snohomish County Fire District One in the past week.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 351 calls the week of July 7-13: 280 emergency medical aid calls, 16 fires, 25 motor vehicle collisions, nine service calls, 17 automatic fire alarms, one natural gas leak, two carbon monoxide alarms and one water rescue.
July 7
COLLISION. At 2:20 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a motor vehicle collision in the 1300 block of 112th St. SW south of Everett.

COLLISION. At 3:15 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a one-car collision at 220th St. SW and 78th Pl. W in Edmonds.
WATER RESCUE. At 11:43 p.m., two women in a canoe capsized in Lake Serene north of Lynnwood. Both women were out of the water when firefighters arrived. No one was injured.

July 9
COLLISION. At 12:117 p.m., a pickup truck and a car collided on northbound I-5 near Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION. At 5:01 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a collision at 128th St. SW and I-5 south of Everett.
July 10
COLLISION. At 12:21 p.m., two cars collided in the 23200 block of Edmonds Way in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
ARSON. At 5:47 p.m., neighbors reported smoke coming from an abandoned house in the 23700 block of 29th Ave. W in Brier. The house had been boarded up since 2009 when it was heavily damaged by a fire that displaced a family of six. Firefighters forced open the front door and quickly extinguished a fire in the garage. No one was injured. The incident is being investigated as arson.
July 12
BRUSH FIRE. At 7:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 21700 block of 66th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace.
PEDESTRIAN HIT BY CAR. At 11:47 p.m., two people were hit by a car in the 500 block of 128th St. SW south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
July 13
COLLISION. At 2:10 p.m., two cars collided in the 7200 block of Ballinger Way in Edmonds. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
