Lynnwood Home Destroyed By Fire, Woman And Cat Hospitalized

South County Fire officials say a woman and her cat were both hospitalized after a fire destroyed her home early Monday morning.

LYNNWOOD, WA – A woman and her cat were both hospitalized early Monday morning after a fire destroyed the home in which they were living. South County firefighters were called to the home on the 20700 block of 60th Avenue West around 7 a.m..

Officials say that firefighters arrived, quickly finding an elderly woman suffering from smoke inhalation. Her cat was also in distress.

After both were treated with oxygen at the scene, the woman was rushed to the hospital in Edmonds and the cat was sent to the emergency veterinarian in Lynwood.
