Lynnwood Police Seek Tips in Death Outside Hotel

A 43-year-old Brier woman was found outside the hotel after apparently falling from a fourth floor window, and police are calling the death suspicious.

Lynnwood Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred in the early morning hours Thursday, March 28 at a hotel in the 3000 block of 196th in Lynnwood.

Just before 6 a.m. a jogger, who was staying at the hotel, found a woman lying on the sidewalk outside the hotel with significant signs of trauma.

The first call to 911 reported that the woman had been shot, however first-in police and medical crews on the scene didn't find anything consistent with that report.

While police are still actively investigating, it appears the woman, who is a 43-year-old from Brier, came out of the top floor (4th floor) window. The nature of why or how she went out the window is still under investigation.
