Man Faces Hit-And-Run Charge After Edmonds Boat Collision
The collision happened on Labor Day when a Shoreline man hit a slow-moving pleasure boat, police said.
EDMONDS, WA — Edmonds police are pursuing a hit-and-run charge against the driver of a boat who collided with another vessel on Labor Day near the downtown ferry terminal.
The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday when the 48-year-old Shoreline man rammed a pleasure boat with his 22-foot vessel. Two people in the pleasure boat suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the Shoreline man sped off, police said, and then docked his boat at the Edmonds Marina.

"The investigation showed that he had made no effort to stop at the scene of the collision, call 911 or advise Port Security of the crash after he came into the marina. He also admitted to investigating officers that he fled because he was 'scared,'" police said in a statement.
Police are forwarding a hit-and-run by vessel charge to the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office.
