Measles Confirmed In SnoCo: Locations, Dates Of Possible Exposure
Eleven different places in Bothell, Lynnwood, Woodinville, and Mill Creek were listed as possible locations of measles exposure.
EDMONDS, WA — A case of measles caught in Pierce County last week has reportedly spread to also include at least one confirmed case in Snohomish County. Now, the Snohomish Health District has issued a warning for residents who may have been exposed to the viral disease.
Anybody who visited any one of the 11 locations listed in Bothell, Lynnwood, Woodinville, or Mill Creek between May 5 and 12 could have been exposed to measles, officials said Wednesday.
Altogether, 77 measles cases have been confirmed across the state, with the vast majority (71) occurring in Clark County. As of Thursday, three cases were confirmed in King County, two cases were confirmed in Pierce County, and just the one was confirmed for Snohomish County — for now.

Of those who've contracted measles, the Washington State Health Department said 52 patients are between 1 and 10 years old; 10 of the cases occurred in people between 19 and 59 years old, and 15 cases occurred in people between 11 and 18 years old.

Symptoms include between two and four days of fever, cough, coryza and conjunctivitis, followed by a rash that begins on the head or face before spreading downward on the body.
