MONROE, WA — Early Tuesday morning, Monroe Police issued a surreal message: warning that a young kangaroo had jumped out of a van on West Main Street and had vanished.

Note that the above picture is not of the actual escaped kangaroo, so there was never any danger of an obscenely muscular kangaroo beating anyone up.

Shortly afterwards the police updated with an actual photo of the escaped roo: proving that it is actually a sweet and gentle baby who must be saved.

According to KOMO news, the kangaroo escaped from the van when the owner let it out for a brief toilet break. It is just 8 weeks old and needs its milk, so it was critical that the kangaroo be recovered quickly.

After hours of searching, the Monroe Police Department confirmed that their Animal Control Officer had captured the loose roo early Tuesday afternoon. How the animal was captured is still unknown, but police confirm the baby roo is being taken to an animal hospital in Fall City for treatment for injuries sustained during the escape.
