Northbound I-5 Lanes Shut Down After Semi Truck Overturns

An overturned semi truck injured one person and forced the closure of all northbound lanes on Interstate 5 in Lynnwood Thursday morning.

LYNNWOOD, WA — All lanes have reopened on northbound Interstate 5 at Interstate 405 in Lynnwood Thursday morning after a semi truck carrying a load of pipes flipped, according to officials. The crash briefly shut down all northbound lanes.

The driver of the semi truck was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. Two cars driving north on I-5 struck the debris following the crash.

Drivers were advised to expect long delays Thursday morning on Northbound I-5 and I-405, according to WSDOT. All lanes had reopened by noon.
