Snohomish 8-Year-Old Drives, Chips, Putts His Way To The Masters
Maverick Stocker will be in Augusta in April thanks, in no small part to a 184-drive in the regional Drive, Chip, and Putt tournament.

SNOHOMISH, WA – Maverick Stocker is only 8-years-old. Next April, he will be playing at the Augusta National Golf Club the weekend before the Masters.
He will be competing in the national championships of the Drive, Chip, and Putt tournament.

It's all because of his win at the regional qualifier at Chambers Bay, where he stunned everyone with a 184-yard drive, the longest hit at the tournament.
It was Stocker's third year in the tournament – yes, he started at 6-years-old.

To get to the regional, he placed second in the first round at Mount Si in Snoqualmie and finished atop the leader board at Dupont's Home Depot Course, the home of round two.
Golf is in Stocker family.
His dad owns the Snohomish Valley Golf Center in Snohomish. The family also belongs to teh Evertt Golf and Country Club.
