Swedish/Edmonds Administrator Heads to First Hill

Mike Carter is leaving his role as lead administrator of Swedish/Edmonds to become chief administrative officer of Swedish’s First Hill campus.

While Swedish/Edmonds searches for a new leader, former Harborview CEO David Jaffe will act as interim chief administrator. Jaffe retired from Harborview after spending 16 years in the top post there. He plans to spend six months at Swedish/Edmonds to assist in the transition.

Carter first took a leadership position in Edmonds in 2006, when he became CEO of what was then Stevens Hospital. He'll now be working for the largest facility among Swedish's five hospitals.

Carter and Jaffe will transition into their new roles during the month of June.
