Terrace Park Elementary Celebrated Young Author Day

Students met with authors, attended writing and art sessions, and celebrated books.

Terrace Park Elementary students took place in the third annual Young Authors Day.

To mark the occasion, 584 students attended writing and art sessions led by parent and community volunteers. In addition, each student attended a presentation by one of three special guest published authors: Kevin Emerson (author of the "Oliver Nocturne" book series), Richard Jesse Watson (author/illustrator of many books, including "The Magic Rabbit"), and Clare Hodgson Meeker (author of the popular locally-based books "Lootas," "Hansa," and the newly released "Soccer Dreams: Playing the Sounders FC Way").
