EDMONDS, WA - There's a new way to get involved in Edmonds affairs — the Patch Mayor program. This new volunteer program allows those who love their communities a great way to share their enthusiasm and expertise on local happenings.

As a Patch Mayor, you'll be able to:

• Post stories on Patch and social media to spread the word about charity events, local celebrations, civic issues, weather, new restaurants or businesses, and more
• guide local conversations as the host of your Patch
• reach your neighbors and fellow residents through daily newsletters
• earn the recognition of your Patch community

The ideal Patch Mayor is someone who is a civic-minded, sociable resident who's plugged into what people in the neighborhood are saying and doing, likes to write, is active on social media and wants to share the stories of his or her community.
