Woman Arrested After Edmonds Child Luring Incident

The 59-year-old Lynnwood woman tried to take a 4-year-old girl from an event at the Edmonds Yacht Club, police say.

EDMONDS, WA — Edmonds police have arrested a 59-year-old Lynnwood woman for attempting to lure a young girl from an event at the Edmonds Yacht Club Sunday night.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday as the 4-year-old girl played on the patio of the yacht club along the west side of the building. The woman was seen taking photos of the child, and the girl later told police the woman tried to get her to leave the yacht club.

The woman left after adults at the event intervened. Edmonds police found the woman nearby with several other people. Police confirmed that the woman had taken photos of the child. They arrested her on a child luring charge.
