Woman Arrested After Edmonds Child Luring Incident

EDMONDS, WA — Edmonds police have arrested a 59-year-old Lynnwood woman for attempting to lure a young girl from an event at the Edmonds Yacht Club Sunday night.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday as the 4-year-old girl played on the patio of the yacht club along the west side of the building. The woman was seen taking photos of the child, and the girl later told police the woman tried to get her to leave the yacht club.

The woman left after adults at the event intervened. Edmonds police found the woman nearby with several other people. Police confirmed that the woman had taken photos of the child. They arrested her on a child luring charge.

Police are trying to figure out if the woman interacted with any other children on Sunday. Police say she was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. Anyone who may have seen the truck should call the Edmonds police tip line at (425) 771-0212 or email epdtips@edmondswa.gov.
